Spring is in the air and it's time to start getting the WS Garden ready for planting season. Please see the below events going on in YOUR community garden.
Garden Committee Meeting: Thursday 2.20.25 these meetings are open to the public. No need to be on the committee, just come listen or give ideas. We meet in the STEM lab from 3:00-4:00 PM, kids are welcome to come with you.
Community Clean up: Saturday 3.1.25, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM. We are asking the Westside community to come get your hands dirty with us as we prep the garden for the Spring planting.
Community Planting: ~ March 11-15th. We'll be watching the weather to determine the best time to get our donated plants in the ground.
The WS garden committee has been working with the UT Austin SporUTing program for a few years now. They have a lovely representative that attends our committee meetings to assist us with our plans as well as providing us free plants and seeds through their Spread the Harvest event. We are working hard to keep the community garden going and the more help the better!!
We hope to see you at one of our events!
Join us for the February 20th Garden Committee Meeting 3:00 - 4:00 PM
We are looking for anyone who is interested in the garden! You do NOT need to have any gardening skills. Just an interest in our community garden.
Please join us in the STEM Room Thursday 2.20.25 for a brainstorming session. Kids are welcome to hangout.
