Multicultural Night
DATE: Dec 4, 2025
TIME: 6:00-7:30pm
LOCATION: Westside Elementary Cafeteria
PURPOSE: Multicultural Night celebrates our school community by highlighting the creativity, achievements, and everyday life of cultures represented at Westside. We aim to create a welcoming, safe space that fosters acceptance and belonging for every child and family.
More details about prep for the event will be sent after completion of the form!
Q: This is my first time hosting or attending this event! What can I expect?
A: This is one of our most attended events of the year! Many families attend and are excited to learn more about different cultural traditions that are represented by families in our Westside Community. Westside PTA coordinates the event with the help of many family and student volunteers. The Cafeteria is our location and host families set-up a cafeteria table section. Attendees will be able to walk through the many tables and enjoy learning about diffferent cultures. Host tables might provide some small food samples, and the PTA will provide some small bites/snacks as well for attendees.
Q: Who can host a table at the event?
A: Per our multicultural night guidelines, only family members of currently enrolled Westside students may host/lead a table with students.
Q: What should we have at our table?
A: Families can decide what they'd like to have at their tables! Typically, families tend to fill their table with some combination of posters/tri-folds, decorative or artistic items, and food and/or drink samples. A full list of guidelines for appropriate table display items can be found here.
Q: I'm bringing food to share - how much should I bring?
A: We anticipate about 200 attendees but you don’t need to prepare food for everyone. We suggest around 50 bite-sized samples to give guests a taste and keep things easy for you.
Q: Who can I contact if I have questions or need help before the event?
A: You can reach out to Gina Chapman + Belinda Smith (Multicultural Night Co-Chairs) via email volunteer@westsidepta.org.
